Mathematics Teaching Research Laboratory

The Mathematics Teaching Research Laboratory (MathLab) was established in order to support pre-service and in-service teachers' education in Mathematics by the use of transdisciplinary approaches together with communication technologies. MathLab is equipped with computers with internet connection, printers, a scanner and an overhead data projector. The main aims of MathLab are the following:

  • Basic and applied research in the scientific field of Mathematics Education.
  • Design, development and evaluation of educational materials and tools related to Mathematics.
  • Promoting a transdisciplinary approach for the teaching and learning Mathematics through cooperation with other laboratories.
  • Online and continuous support of pre-service and in-service Mathematics teachers.
  • Promoting the exchange of ideas and methods with other institutions with similar interests.
  • Contribution in Mathematics education and training.
