The Chair or Vice-Chair of the Department is elected from the full-time members of the Teaching and Research Faculty, holding the rank of Professor or Associate Professor, for a term of three (3) years.
The duties and responsibilities of the Chair are prescribed in Article 33 of Law No. 957/2022, as amended by paragraph 1 of Article 50 of Law No. 5094/2024.
For the period commencing on 1 September 2025 and concluding on 31 August 2028, the Chair is Professor Anastasios Mikropoulos.
The Vice-Chair is Associate Professor Maria Liakopoulou.
